After what I can only describe as a very unplanned weekend, here I am spending my bank holiday morning sipping my second cup of Carte Noir with syllabus from Petroleum Engineering on the table and Mumford & Sons in the background. If that is not fancy enough, I have May's last sun on my face, as if mocking me for having to spend the beautiful start of the day indoor. Oh, we have plenty of light for the day now, don't we? So, running can always be done a bit later.
Apologies for another round of silence. I haven't had the opportunity to take my camera out since officially committing myself to study for an exam in July. Photographically speaking, I have done a bit of indoor work (ie. editing and printing). While some frames are going out to friends this month, others will be (finallly) hung at some corners of my room.
By the way, I had no idea that canvas printing can be so bloodily expensive. I had never printed anything on mounted canvas before but 45 quid for an A4 size image? I wish to have printed mine out on a bigger canvas though but I couldn't quite imagined it and decided to go 'safe'. And therefore, 'safe' it became. It is still finding its way in the living room.
June should be a comparatively quiet month as I have an exam coming but that could have been prematurely stated. Two of my dearest friends are coming over and judging from our friendship history, it's not going to be a subtle month. With July already planned for a concert and a music festival, August and September for backpacking (including a birthday week in Lisbon!) and a marathon, October/November for Malaysia... I only have December unmarked for anything apart from Christmas. That's my 2010 sorted. But I promise I will update the blog more often in between traveling and all the wonderful chaos.
Right, time for another cup of coffee. Until next time, Selamat Hari Gawai to all my fellow Borneoans and cheerios to all X
